Pre-Installation Prep: Get Ready
- Check Device Compatibility
Ensure your iPhone supports eSIM (iPhone XR or later, running iOS 12.1 or newer).
Pro Tip: You can check compatibility by going to Settings > General > About and looking for "eSIM" or "Carrier Lock." - Check if Your iPhone is Carrier-Unlocked
Open Settings > General > About. Scroll down to Carrier Lock. If it says No SIM restrictions, your iPhone is unlocked. Otherwise, contact your carrier to unlock it. - Prepare Your Network
Ensure a stable Wi-Fi or mobile network connection during installation. - Have Your eSIM Details Handy
Keep the QR code sent in your Reloadnow email ready for activation.
eSIM Installation: Quick and Easy
- Using a QR Code
Open Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data). Tap Add eSIM or Add Cellular Plan. Choose Use QR Code, scan the code, and follow the on-screen prompts.
Tip: If you’re viewing the QR code in the email we sent you on your iPhone, you can press and hold the QR code (from iOS 15 onwards) to activate it directly. No need for a second screen!
Label your eSIM (e.g., “Reloadnow”) for easy identification. The eSim is called ''Drei"' in your phone before editing - Enter Details Manually (Optional)
If QR scanning isn’t an option, select Enter Details Manually. Input the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code provided in your Reloadnow email. - Activate
Follow prompts to confirm activation.
IMPORTANT: Don't forget to allow data roaming to use the data.
Post-Installation: Confirm and Customize
- Confirm Activation
Check for a signal icon in your iPhone’s status bar. Go to Settings > Cellular and verify the new eSIM appears under "Cellular Plans." - Set Your Default Plan
Choose your eSIM as the primary line for mobile data or calls in Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data. - Test Your Connection
Open a browser or app to ensure your eSIM is working flawlessly.

- No Service?
Ensure your eSIM is turned on under Settings > Cellular. Restart your device to refresh the connection. - Activation Issues?
Check your Wi-Fi or mobile network connection. Re-scan the QR code or double-check the manual entry details. - Still Stuck?

- Switch Back to a Physical SIM
Go to Settings > Cellular, tap your eSIM, and select Remove Cellular Plan. Insert your physical SIM to reactivate it. - Remove Your eSIM
Navigate to Settings > Cellular, tap the eSIM, and choose Delete eSIM.

- Check if Your Phone is Carrier-Unlocked
Your phone must be unlocked to use an eSIM from Reloadnow.
How to Check:- Open Settings > About Phone > Carrier Lock.
- If it says No SIM restrictions, your device is unlocked. Otherwise, contact your carrier.
- Prepare Your Network
- Connect to a stable Wi-Fi or mobile network before starting the installation.
- If switching from a physical SIM, keep it active until the eSIM is fully installed.
- Have Your eSIM Details Handy
- Keep the QR code sent in your Reloadnow email ready.
- If your phone doesn’t support QR scanning, you’ll need to enter details manually (SM-DP+ Address & Activation Code).
eSIM Installation: Quick and Easy
- Using a QR Code
- Open Settings.
- Go to Connections > SIM Manager (Samsung) or Network & Internet > SIMs (Google Pixel, Oppo, OnePlus).
- Tap Add eSIM or Download a SIM instead.
- Choose Scan QR Code and scan the code from your Reloadnow email.
- Follow on-screen instructions to complete activation.
- Enter Details Manually (If Needed)
- If scanning doesn’t work, select Enter Details Manually.
- Input the SM-DP+ Address and Activation Code from your email.
- Confirm and proceed.
- Activate Your eSIM
- Once installed, go to Settings > SIM Manager (or SIMs).
- Select Drei eSIM as the Preferred SIM for Mobile Data.
- Turn on Mobile Data & Data Roaming (if applicable).
Post-Installation: Confirm and Customize
- Confirm Activation
- Check if the signal bars appear in your status bar.
- Open Settings > SIM Manager and verify your new eSIM is active.
- Set Your Default SIM (If Needed)
- If using two SIMs (eSIM + physical SIM), choose which to use for calls, texts, and mobile data in Settings > SIM Manager > Preferred SIMs.
- Test Your Connection
- Open a browser or app to ensure your eSIM is working properly.

- No eSIM Option in Settings?
- Restart your phone and check again.
- Ensure your device is updated to the latest Android version.
- If the option is missing, your device may not support eSIM.
- No Service After Activation?
- Toggle Airplane Mode ON, then OFF.
- Ensure Data Roaming is turned on (especially when traveling).
- Manually select a network under Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Operators.
- QR Code Not Scanning?
- Increase screen brightness and ensure the QR code is fully visible.
- On Android 13+, press and hold the QR code in your email to activate it.
- If scanning fails, use the Enter Details Manually option.
